Visions for the Future

How do we take steps to meet our visions of our lives? I feel as if it's so easy to picture what you want but, to obtain it is always the mystery. How do we manifest what we want? How does our actions today lead us there or not? How can we even begin down a path that we don't know where it begins? What is the first step?
